Sheridan Region public meeting on proposed changes to black bear hunting regulations

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will host a public meeting in Sheridan on Dec. 1, 2025 to gather public input and answer questions regarding proposed changes to Chapter 3, Black Bear Hunting Seasons.

 

The meeting will be held at the Wyoming Game and Fish Department Sheridan Regional Office at 700 Valley View Drive beginning at 5 p.m.

 

At the meeting, large carnivore biologists, along with local wildlife managers, will review proposed black bear season dates, annual female mortality limits or other possible changes to hunting season structures.

 

Copies of the proposed regulations are available on the Game and Fish website and at the Sheridan Game and Fish office. 

 

The public is encouraged to attend and submit comments. Written comments will be accepted through 5 p.m. on Dec. 8, 2025. Public comments will be shared with the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission prior to its January 2026 meeting in Cheyenne.
