Pinedale Region

The Pinedale Region is in the western part of the state bound by the divide of the Wyoming Range on the west and the divide of the Wind River Range on the east. It extends north to Union Pass and south to near Farson. It is home to the upper Green River with its many tributaries, including the New Fork and East Fork rivers. The major lakes include Green River, New Fork, Willow, Soda, Fremont, Half Moon, Burnt, and Boulder lakes along the west slope of the Winds and Fontenelle Reservoir to the south on the lower Green River. Major towns include Pinedale, Big Piney, LaBarge, Daniel and Boulder.
