Access to public records is governed by the Wyoming Public Records Act (Wyo. Stat. Ann. § 16-4-201 et seq.). Public records shall be released unless otherwise protected by law.

How to Submit a Request

Public records requests should specifically identify and explain what records you are seeking from the
Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Be sure to include date ranges, names, and any other important
information that pertains to your request. Specific and detailed public record requests enable the
Department to efficiently provide those public records and minimize cost to the requestor. Please send public records requests to: wgf.inforequest@wyo.gov (You will receive an automated response.)

Cost to Submit a Request

There will be a fee for employee time and copy charges to complete this request if production and construction costs exceed $180. (The initial $180 is a credit upon the total amount charged. For instance, if the total amount to produce the records is $200, you will only be charged $20.)
