Harvest surveys

Harvest survey questionnaires are sent via email to license holders after hunting seasons close each year, and information gathered from survey responses plays a critical role in shaping how wildlife are managed in the state.  Harvest surveys are conducted by the Wyoming Survey & Analysis Center (WYSAC) at the University of Wyoming on behalf of Game and Fish.  If you are selected to participate in a survey, you will receive a direct link to the survey questionnaire via email.  Hunters who have questions about the surveys can contact the WYSAC survey team directly at 1-866-966-2715 or email wyhunter@uwyo.edu.

Make your hunt count!

Hunter harvest surveys give important information for wildlife management. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department learns how many animals are harvested by sending about 250,000 surveys to hunters every year. Many hunters do not respond, so Game and Fish uses trusted methods to estimate harvest numbers. Your response helps make sure wildlife managers have the accurate information they need.
