A Walk-In Fishing Area (WIFA) is a tract of private land or inaccessible public land on which the Wyoming Game and Fish Department has leased rights for public
fishing enjoyment. Public access to a Walk-In Fishing Area is limited to
fishing only during the time period and only for the specific species agreed upon by the landowner and the Department. Public access to any WIFA is restricted to foot traffic only (large areas may have exceptions, please see maps). Anglers are advised not to seek permission from the landowner to fish the approved species on the Walk-in Areas. Have your current fishing license, conservation stamp, appropriate WIFA map and just walk right in.
Thank landowners for access. Respected access means more access to Wyoming waters.
