Wildlife Film, Refreshments, and Season Setting- Rawlins 03-25-2026
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department invites hunters and wildlife enthusiasts to a high-impact public meeting on March 25 at 6:00 p.m. to help shape the 2026 Hunting Seasons. This isn't your average public meeting. To provide a deeper look at the challenges facing Wyoming’s wildlife, the evening will feature a special screening of the new short film, "Carrying Capacity: The Hunt for Resilience."
The Evening’s Agenda:
- 2026 Season Proposals: Local biologists will present proposed changes for the 2026 seasons, including Deer, Elk, Antelope, and more.
- The Film: A screening of "Carrying Capacity," will be shown with the bighorn sheep season information. The short film explores the resilience of the Ferris-Seminoe and Jackson bighorn sheep herds in the face of disease. Refreshments will be provided.
- Direct Discussion: Following the film, we will hold an open Q&A and Discussion with local managers. This is your opportunity to ask questions, review the data, and provide the comments that directly influence hunting regulations.
Why Attend? Public input is the most effective way to shape the hunting seasons in your area. Whether you are concerned about herd health or satisfied with current numbers, your voice ensures that management stays grounded in the local community’s perspective.
