GREEN RIVER— The Green River region of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department welcomes Wyatt Yapoujian as the new Evanston Game Warden. Yapoujian replaces Mark Bowen, who transferred to Cokeville.
The Evanston game warden district covers the southwest corner of the state, bordering Utah on the west and south and includes the western half of Uinta County and part of southern Lincoln County.
Yapoujian holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology and Applied Ecology from Cornell University. Before joining Game and Fish, he worked as a Range and Wildlife Conservationist for the NRCS and Pheasants Forever in Ely, Nevada.
Yapoujian began his duties in Evanston on March 1. “ I am proud to step into a role dedicated to conserving wildlife and serving people,” Yapoujian said.
