Wheatland Public Meeting - Black Bear Hunting Seasons

A public meeting will be hosted by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department in Wheatland to discuss changes to Chapter 3, Black Bear Hunting Seasons. Trophy game seasons, including black bears, are updated every three years.  

Game and Fish biologists will give a presentation and be available to answer questions:

December 1, 2025 6:00 PM, Wheatland Platte County Library (904 9th St.)

Copies of the proposed regulations are available on the Game and Fish website. Written comments shall be accepted through 5 p.m. December 8, online, at public meetings or by mailing:

Written comments will be presented to the Game and Fish Commission before their January 2026 meeting in Cheyenne.
