Upcoming public meetings on proposed fishing, watercraft and licensing regulation changes

The public is invited to participate in two meetings to discuss multiple Game and Fish proposed regulations.

 

The Sheridan Region will host an in-person public meeting at 5 p.m. on May 19, 2025 at the Sheridan Regional Office to discuss the following proposed regulations: 

 

Chapter 42: Mountain lion hunting seasons

 

Chapter 44: Regulation for Issuance of Licenses, Permits, Stamps, Tags, Preference Points and Competitive Raffle Chances


Chapter 47: Gray wolf hunting seasons

 

 

Also, on May 19, 2025 at 3 p.m., a virtual meeting will be offered to discuss the following proposed regulations:

 

Chapter 22: Watercraft Regulations

 

Chapter 46: Fishing Regulations

 

An in-person meeting will not be held in the Sheridan Region on chapters 22 and 46, but members of the public are welcome to join the virtual meeting and are able to provide comments online. During this meeting, fisheries managers will present information regarding proposed regulation changes. Written comments for each of the chapters listed above will be accepted through 5 p.m. on June 10, 2025 at public meetings, online or by mailing:

Copies of the proposed regulations are available on the Game and Fish website and at the address above in accordance with Chapter 1 Regulation Governing Access to Public Records.

 

Written comments shall be presented to the Game and Fish Commission prior to the public hearing at its July 2025 meeting in Evanston.
