New Moorcroft district game warden

Updated 12/19/2024

Bradley Blackstock began duties as the Moorcroft district game warden Nov. 1, 2024.

Blackstock has previously lived and worked in northeast Wyoming. He attended Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota, while also working as a ranch hand in the Sundance and Sturgis areas. He graduated in December 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in criminal justice.

After graduation, he served a five-year enlistment in the U.S. Navy where he was assigned to the USS Blue Ridge deployed in Japan. He attended the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy in spring 2024 and graduated on April 25.

Blackstock has served as the Sheridan Region game warden since May 2024, patrolling throughout northeast Wyoming and assisting district wardens with hunting, fishing and watercraft law enforcement.

“I really wanted to end up in northeast Wyoming,” said Blackstock. “I know the area fairly well, and have some friends that ranch in the area as well. I love the topography, the opportunity provided to hunters and anglers and I enjoy seeing successful sportsmen and -women in the field. I plan in time to get to know all the landowners in the area and hope to build working relationships that will last for the rest of my career.”
