The Tom Thorne/Beth Williams area is north of Sybille Creek and Wyoming Highway 34. The area provides many recreational days each year for deer hunters. The rugged terrain is well suited for hardy hunters and hikers who enjoy observing wildlife in their native habitats. Johnson Creek Reservoir allows anglers the opportunity to catch brook and rainbow trout. The Tom Thorne/Beth Williams Wildlife Research Center at Sybille is on Wyoming Highway 34 in the Sybille Canyon west of Interstate Highway 25 and adjacent to the Tom Thorne/Beth Williams Access Area. The center's theme is threatened and endangered wildlife management and wildlife research. Elk, mule deer, bighorn sheep, a variety of birds and other wildlife can be seen all year from the roadside pullouts.
