May 31 application deadline for big game approaching
The May 31 deadline for Wyoming resident and nonresident big game hunters to submit applications for limited quota deer and antelope licenses is approaching. May 31 is also the deadline for resident elk.

Planning a Wyoming application is now easier than ever with the Wyoming Big Game Hunt Planner by Wyoming Game and Fish. The tool, on the Game and Fish website, helps hunters determine where to apply with interactive maps, season information, drawing odds and harvest reports for each of our big game species.

“The most useful aspect of the Hunt Planner is the ability to overlay different species hunt areas. You can see other areas and season dates in order to apply for multiple species in the same general area,” said Chris Botkins, webmaster for Wyoming Game and Fish. “Also, having the drawing odds at your fingertips helps determine where to apply and how to best use your preference points.”

All applications must be made online by midnight on May 31. For those who may not have access to a computer or need assistance applying, Game and Fish has computer stations at each of the Regional Offices and at the Cheyenne Headquarters. In addition, hunters who have questions about applying online can call Game and Fish at (307) 777-4600.
