2016 hunter education instructor academy planned for summer
Wyoming residents who have completed hunter education instructor certification in the last three years are invited to sign up for the Wyoming Game and Fish Department annual Hunter Education Instructor Academy to be held June 10-12, 2016 at the Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp near Dubois.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission regulation requires hunter education instructors to attend a new instructor workshop within two years of becoming certified as an instructor.

Hunter education coordinator Tristanna Bickford said the numbers of camp participants are limited and slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Bickford added, “The camp is designed to increase consistency of material being taught, and improve communication in teaching the hunter education program.”

Interested persons can e-mail or call Bickford at tristanna.bickford@wyo.gov or 307-777-4542 to register. Hunter Education Instructor applications, forms and a checklist of the steps to certification are on the Game and Fish Hunter Education webpage.
