Deciding between a daily or an annual license really comes down to how many days you will be fishing in the calendar year in Wyoming. You can get the most fishing for your dollars this way.
For residents, if you think you will fish more than of a total of four days in Wyoming in the calendar year, you should buy an annual license. The days do not need to be consecutive. The resident daily license is $6 each day. The annual resident license fee is $24.
For non-residents, if you plan to fish more than a total of seven days in Wyoming in the calendar year, you should buy an annual a license. The days do not need to be consecutive. The non-resident daily license is $14 each day. The annual non-resident license fee is $92.
Both residents and non-residents are required to purchase a conservation stamp (if they haven’t already for hunting) to fish in Wyoming. The Conservation Stamp is $12.50.
Fishing licenses allow you to fish statewide from January 1-December 31 with the exception of Yellowstone National Park and the Indian Reservation. Youth annual fishing licenses for residents and non-residents are also available for youth between 14-18 years old. Resident youth under 14 may fish for free and nonresident youth under 14 may also fish for free as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid Wyoming fish license.
