The annual spring season setting meetings are when the Wyoming Game and Fish Department presents proposals for the fall hunting seasons to the public, and your involvement is very important to us. These season setting meetings will cover big game, wild turkey, upland and migratory game bird, small game and wild bison. There are over 40 hunting season setting meetings scheduled in communities across Wyoming during March. At each of these meetings, local game wardens and wildlife biologists will be on hand to answer questions and discuss local management issues. This is an excellent opportunity for the public to get involved in season setting.
In addition to providing comments during the meeting, written online comments will be accepted through 5 p.m. on April 4, or by mailing them to: Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Regulations, 3030 Energy Lane, Casper, WY 82604 or online. Copies of the proposed regulations are available at the same address in accordance with Chapter 1 Regulation Governing Access to Public Records. Written comments will be presented to the Game and Fish Commission prior to the public hearing at their April 24-25 meeting in Lander at the Inn at Lander/Peaks Conference Center.
