Sage-Grouse Implementation Team meeting to be held in Casper

CHEYENNE — The Sage-Grouse Implementation Team will be meeting at 9 a.m. April 17 in Casper. The meeting will be held at the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission Office, 2211 King Blvd. The public is invited to attend in-person. No virtual options will be available.

 

The tentative agenda will cover the following topics:

— Seeding experiment.

— Funding of 2025 wildfire habitat restoration.

— BLM Sage-Grouse RMP Amendment update.

— SGIT Adaptive management subcommittee update.

— Senate File 179 sage-grouse compensatory mitigation amendment.

 

The agenda is subject to change. 

The Sage-Grouse Implementation Team (SGIT) is comprised of representatives from State and Federal agencies, industry, and non-governmental organizations. Gov. Mark Gordon has appointed the SGIT members, and they work collaboratively to protect the Greater Sage-Grouse under the State of Wyoming's Sage-Grouse Executive Order (2019-3)

The SGIT meets approximately six times a year to discuss current Sage Grouse-related issues under the direction of Chairman Bob Budd. The public is invited to attend these meetings. For more information on SGIT and sage-grouse conservation efforts, visit the sage-grouse management page.
