Jackson - Public meeting to discuss proposed regulation changes

JACKSON – The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will host a public meeting in Jackson on May 26 to gather public input and answer questions regarding proposed changes to multiple regulation chapters.

 

The meeting will be held at the Wyoming Game and Fish Department Jackson Regional Office at 420 N Cache St beginning at 6 p.m.

 

Regulations with proposed changes

 

  • Hunting Permit Regulations for Persons with Disabilities, Chapter 35   
  • Regulation for Issuance of Licenses, Permits, Stamps, Tags, Preference Points and Competitive Raffle Chances,  Chapter 44
  • Gray Wolf Hunting Seasons, Chapter 47
  • Private Fish Hatcheries, Chapter 51 
  • Home State License Suspension Procedures for the Wildlife Violator Compact, Chapter 54 
  • Regulation for Aquatic Invasive Species, Chapter 62

 

Proposed regulation updates and statements of reason are currently available on the Game and Fish website.

 

The public comment period for Chapters 35, 47, 51, 54 and 62 is open until 5:00 p.m. on June 10, 2026, and the public comment period for Chapter 44 is open until 5:00 p.m. on June 18, 2026. Public comments will be shared with the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission prior to their July 14-15 meeting in Sheridan.
