CHEYENNE — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s Commercial Fishing Boat Advisory Board will have its second meeting at 10 a.m. June 12  at the Casper Regional Game and Fish office, 3030 Energy Ln.

The meeting is open to the public, and will be live streamed and recorded.

The seven-member advisory board will continue to discuss potential recommendations that will be presented to the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission for final review and approval later this year.

This board's formation follows the passage of  House Bill 5, which authorizes Game and Fish to create rules to regulate commercially-guided fishing boats in the state. The intent for the board is to provide local perspectives and develop recommendations to enhance fishing conditions, and address waterway congestion stemming from commercial guide boat activity.

The board will hold one more meeting, then will meet with the Commission in September to discuss their recommendations. Recommendations will be presented to the Joint Travel, Recreation, Wildlife and Cultural Resources Committee by Nov. 1.
