2026 Wyoming Game and Fish Department Sheridan Region season setting meetings

Public meeting

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department welcomes the public to upcoming setting meetings in the Sheridan Region to discuss proposals for the 2026 hunting season.

Season setting meetings are held each spring to present proposed license allocations, season date changes and other potential hunting season changes for the coming fall to hunters and the general public.

The first meetings will be a series of open houses held throughout the region. At these events, Game and Fish wildlife biologists and game wardens will provide information about local herd units and proposed seasons. They will also be available to visit with hunters, landowners and other participants to answer questions and listen to feedback on the proposals. Members of the public are welcome to stop in anytime during the listed hours.
