Jill Randall, long-time Pinedale Habitat Biologist for the Wyoming Game and Fish Department is transitioning to a new job as the state's Big Game Migration Coordinator. The new position was created to assist Game and Fish field personnel with the Department’s big game migration corridor designation process, including public outreach and the implementation of habitat improvement projects within big game migration corridors.

“I’m really excited to work with our field personnel to implement projects that support connectivity and the habitat our renowned big game species require,” said Randall. “There is a lot of momentum for maintaining our wildlife migrations, to use good science and partner with folks to make better decisions across the landscape.” Randall will continue to work out of the Pinedale Game and Fish office.

Troy Fieseler will be taking over Randall’s former position as the Pinedale Habitat Biologist position for the Game and Fish Department. Fieseler first joined the Department in 2016, working as a Habitat Technician under Jill Randall in Pinedale. In 2017, Troy was promoted to a permanent habitat biologist position in Kemmerer, where he has served the past two years.  

“Ever since deciding a career in wildlife was for me, I have been drawn to habitat management,” says Fieseler. “It is one of the greatest tools we have to sustain our wildlife populations into the future. Plus, being able to do this in the region where I first started my Game and Fish career, as well as the same areas where I spent much of my childhood, will be truly rewarding.”
