Green River Fisheries Biologist Troy Laughlin directed a crew of regional personnel on a netting operation to Fontenelle Reservoir recently. Troy and the crew set three nets at varying depths using trammel nets. The nets yielded many invasive burbot, as well as suckers. The fish are weighed and measured, as well as scanned to see if they have any of the PIT tags that were inserted into burbot from prior fishing derbies. Laughlin will crunch the numbers and review data to be used in management decisions.
