Check Stations

Wildlife biologists and game wardens teamed up to conduct check stations across the region throughout hunting seasons.  The primary purpose of check stations is to collect biological data on harvested animals.  Disease samples, age data, and body conditions are evaluated helping biologists judge the health of different wildlife herds.  One check station located outside Casper allowed biologists to collect information on nearly 250 animals and talk with around 500 vehicles of hunters about their experiences.  Thanks for all the help in keeping our wildlife healthy.
