John Pokallus grew up in Gillette and is excited to continue his work with Game and Fish so close to home. He got his bachelor’s from the University of Wyoming and earned his master’s at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He participated in wildlife research on a wide variety of animals ranging from mice, voles, and martens, to deer, black bears, and porcupines across the United States. Pokallus worked in Washington as a research scientist and realized how unique and rare Wyoming’s wildlife and environmental resources are, and he wanted to be a part of it. John joined Game and Fish in 2017 where he has been a game warden in Casper and Rawlins before taking his current position with the agency. John's role with Access Yes is to work with landowner's to secure access to private lands for hunters and anglers. John will be based in the Casper Regional Office and can be reached by calling (307)473-3400.
