Casper Kids' Fishing Day is June 2

CASPER – The Wyoming Game and Fish Department and the Community Recreation Foundation will be hosting the 23rd Annual Kids’ Fishing Day, Saturday, June 2 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Harry Yesness Pond located at 4100 SW Wyoming Boulevard.  This free event is for kids ages 14 and under, accompanied an adult. 
 
Before the start of the fishing event, Yesness Pond will be stocked with more than 2,000 catchable-sized trout along with channel catfish. 
 
If possible, participants should bring poles and lures/bait. The North Platte Walleyes Unlimited Club will have a limited number of fishing poles at the event for those in need of gear and Sportsman’s Warehouse and Rocky Mountain Discount Sports will supply bait. 
 
Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions and join us for a great day of fishing.   Parking spaces are limited; overflow parking can be found at Crest Hill Elementary School located at 4445 S. Poplar. 
 
The fishing day is sponsored by the Community Recreation Foundation in cooperation with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, North Platte Walleyes Unlimited, Wyoming Fly Casters, Grey Reef Trout Unlimited Chapter, Sportsman’s Warehouse, Wagner’s Outdoor Outfitters and Rocky Mountain Discount Sports.
