Game and Fish public meetings to discuss mountain lion management
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will hold public meetings across the state to discuss and gather input about mountain lion populations and their management.

According to Large Carnivore Biologist Justin Clapp, “These meetings allow us to interact directly with the public across Wyoming to evaluate and discuss mountain lions and mountain lion management for the future.”

The Game and Fish reviews Chapter 42 mountain lion regulations every three years and encourages all interested public to attend these meetings. Any changes in regulations or harvest strategies will be discussed at these meetings, and the information gathered will be summarized and brought to the Game and Fish Commission for final approval at their July 7-8 Commission meeting in Pinedale.
“We thank the public for their continued interest in mountain lion management and look forward to discussing upcoming management strategies over the next few months” Clapp said.
