Game and Fish looks to simplify regulations for firearm cartridges and archery equipment
Game and Fish has heard from hunters that its regulations related to cartridges is too complex. These changes are meant to help provide more flexibility to hunters.
“The intent of this regulation has always been to ensure for ethical and safe hunting. We believe our proposed changes continue that tradition while adapting to new technologies and making it easier to legally hunt,” said Aaron Kerr, law enforcement coordinator for Game and Fish.
The proposed changes would also add the term crossbow bolt to Game and Fish’s definition of archery equipment.
To review the changes, provide comments or attend a public meeting, visit Game and Fish’s website. The proposed changes and public comments will be presented to the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission for approval January 28-29, 2016 in Cheyenne.
