Ocean Lake has a variety of fish species but we manage for walleye, yellow perch and black crappie. Walleye and yellow perch are the species most anglers pursue. We stock about 320,000 walleye each year. Walleye and perch fishing is typically good in spring and early summer, then slows down in late July and August when water temperatures warm. Other sport fish that are fairly common are burbot, bluegill, largemouth bass and white crappie.

Ocean Lake is located near Riverton. You can reach Ocean Lake from U.S. Highway 26 or Wyoming Highway 134 and Eight Mile Road. Here is a map of the area. Bring your boat, too. There are five boat ramps and plenty of parking.
