It’s great that you are already planning your fishing for the season. The Cutt Slam is a program that encourages anglers to learn more about Wyoming's cutthroat trout sub-species and develop more appreciation and support of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department's cutthroat trout management program.  But, it is also a fun way to get out to see the neat places the cutthroat live and fish throughout Wyoming.

Here is what you do:
  • Catch Wyoming's four cutthroat sub-species in their native range in Wyoming.

  • Complete this application and submit the application and photo of each fish. It doesn’t matter the size of the fish, but it needs to be clear enough to determine the species. You can submit photos and the application to any Regional Office, Fisheries Section or to the Cheyenne Headquarters at:
Wyoming Game and Fish Department
Fish Division
5400 Bishop Boulevard
Cheyenne, WY 82006

Or you can email the application and photos to me at tina.walker@wyo.gov.

What we do:
Once we receive documentation that you have caught all four sub-species, we will send you a color certificate recognizing your accomplishment.
