Glad to know young people are headed out for some waterfowl hunting. Here's what you need to know, anyone 16 years of age or older is required to purchase and carry a federal duck stamp in order to hunt migratory waterfowl. So, if you are not yet 16 you don't need a federal duck stamp. In Wyoming, in addition to the duck stamp, anyone 14 years of age or older is required to have a game bird license, conservation stamp and HIP permit. Also take proof of having taken a hunter safety course if you are hunting with firearms if you were born after January 1, 1966 and the land you are hunting is not your family's. Have fun and be safe.
