RAWLINS, Wyo. — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is pleased to welcome Cheyanne Colton to the Rawlins community as the new West Rawlins senior game warden. Colton officially assumed her new role on Sept. 20.
Cheyanne brings valuable wildlife law enforcement experience to the position, having served as a game warden in South Dakota for the past four years.
She also brings strong local ties to her new district. Cheyanne grew up in Lingle, Wyoming, and is a graduate of the University of Wyoming. Her previous out-of-state warden experience, combined with her lifelong familiarity with Wyoming, will serve her well as she steps into this new role protecting the state's wildlife resources.
“I am excited to return back to Wyoming to work with the wildlife and resources that the state has to offer. I look forward to getting to know everyone in the community and the surrounding areas. It's great to be back!” says Cheyanne about her new role.
Game and Fish welcomes Cheyanne back to her home state and looks forward to her service to the public and wildlife in the Rawlins area.
