LANDER - Road surface improvements on Buena Vista Drive will temporarily cut off vehicle access to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department Lander Regional Office on Thursday, Oct. 22, and Friday, Oct. 23.

The Lander Regional Office will remain open during regular business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and will be accessible to pedestrians who park outside the construction zone and walk into the building.

Hunters requiring mandatory checks for bighorn sheep, mountain lions, black bears, or gray wolves, as well as those needing chronic wasting disease sample collection, should call the office during business hours at (307) 332-2688 prior to arrival to have department personnel meet them at a vehicle-accessible location nearby.

Members of the public who are unable to walk into the office are encouraged to visit other local license selling agents, call for assistance over the phone or visit the Game and Fish website wgfd.wyo.gov.

Buena Vista Drive is scheduled to reopen to normal traffic on Saturday, Oct. 24, weather permitting. For updates regarding the city water and roadway project, visit the City’s news page or contact Lander City Hall at (307) 332-2870 ext. 113.
