Upper Snake River Basin Local Sage Grouse Working Group to meet in Jackson

JACKSON – The Upper Snake River Basin Local Sage Grouse Working Group will hold a meeting to discuss potential projects, local sage grouse monitoring plans, and other updates on Nov. 22 in Jackson. The meeting will begin at 10 am at the Wyoming Game and Fish Department Jackson Regional Office, 420 N. Cache St.

 

This working group is one of eight local working groups statewide. Each comprises citizens representing various stakeholder groups interested in sage grouse conservation and associated land management issues. 

 

Funding from the Wyoming Sage Grouse Conservation Fund, administered by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department on behalf of the eight local sage grouse working groups, is available for sage grouse conservation and research projects.

 

The funding application period for the Upper Snake River Basin Working Group area is currently open. Grant applications should be received by January 1, 2025. To view the Application or for more information, please visit the Game and Fish Sage Grouse Local Working Groups webpage.
