CHEYENNE — The Wyoming Hunger Initiative, led by First Lady Jennie Gordon, will be holding a second raffle for a Commissioner License. Proceeds from the raffle will go towards the Food From the Field initiative.
There are 300 tickets available for purchase through March 20. Tickets can be purchased online. The winner will be able to take advantage of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to purchase a Wyoming deer, antelope, or elk tag in any open unit with any legal weapon across the state.
Food From the Field is an innovative program that benefits Wyomingites. The program enables hunters the opportunity to donate all or part of their harvest to participating local food processors, who will package it for local organizations for distribution to communities. All deer, elk, and moose undergo appropriate testing to ensure safety prior to entering the food bank system.
The Wyoming Hunger Initiative is led by First Lady Jennie Gordon to prevent food insecurity by increasing awareness and support for the work of local anti-hunger organizations statewide through innovative programs that connect like-minded organizations as well as funding support for local solutions. For more information on this initiative, please visit the Wyoming Hunger Initiative website.
Each year, Wyoming Game and Fish Commissioner licenses are provided to nonprofit charitable organizations for fundraising purposes. More information on this program can be found on the Game and Fish website.
