The Muley Fanatic Foundation and the Wyoming Game and Fish Department invite you to save the date for the third annual Mule Deer Days, which will be held March 21-23, 2025, at the Sweetwater County Events Complex in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Mule Deer Days is a weekend of Mule Deer Conservation, where wildlife enthusiasts can support mule deer conservation by attending informational seminars, visiting with local wildlife professionals, and attending a vendor show with gear and equipment suited for people who enjoy spending time outdoors.
The inaugural Mule Deer Days was hosted in 2023 and raised $472,410 for mule deer conservation. Each year, an all-volunteer project allocation committee (PAC) determines the distribution of funds. The PAC is selected from local stakeholders who collaborate to prioritize projects significantly benefiting mule deer conservation. Allocations from the event have been allocated to various causes, including the US 189 South Kemmerer Highway Wildlife Crossing Project, the Muley Fanatic Fellowship, Putting the ‘U’ in Hunt Program, Wyoming Governor’s Big Game License Coalition, the Iron Mountain Juniper Control Treatment Project and various cheatgrass treatment projects.
Wildlife enthusiasts are encouraged to show their support for mule deer by attending the free event and learning more about how collaborative efforts are making a difference for mule deer in Wyoming. The Muley Fanatic Foundation is interested in hearing from stakeholders interested in attending Mule Deer Days or serving on the 2025 PAC. Volunteers are welcome to inquire as well.
