The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will hold an informal public meeting on Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Laramie Regional Office, 1212 South Adams Street, to review the results of the 2023 Angler Survey and open the floor for discussion.
The Survey was sent to resident anglers in the Laramie Region, and nonresident anglers, who held annual fishing licenses in 2023 to gather information about angling preferences, management practices, targeted fish species, and satisfaction with regional fisheries.
Regional Fisheries Supervisor Bobby Compton and fisheries biologists Stephen Siddons and Caroline Rosinski will present the survey results.
“We really appreciate everyone who took the time to answer the survey. We received about 4,400 usable responses to help us understand our anglers and guide future management of our waters,” Siddons said. “In addition to the general survey results, we plan to discuss results related to Wheatland Reservoir No. 3 and the management of Diamond Lake.”
Compton said special attention will be given to the future implications of the survey and possible changes that may come as a result of public input; he encourages anglers to bring their questions and comments.
A virtual meeting option will be available through Zoom, where attendees can still participate in the discussion. Log on using Meeting ID 894 5185 6368.
