To participate, students must be at least 10 years old. They will need to complete the online course and attend one of the 4-hour, in-person internet completion courses to earn their certification. The online portion of the course can be found here. After completing the online portion, go to the Hunter Education website to register for one of the internet completion courses above.
To register for a Wyoming Hunter Education class, you must have a Wyoming sportsperson ID number — known as a SPID. Each individual requires their own SPID, and parents need to create a separate profile for their children. To look up your SPID or to create a new one, visit the Game and Fish login portal.
For questions about these completion courses or registration, contact the Hunter Education team at wgfhuntered@wyo.gov or Raegin Akhtar at (307) 384-2265.
