CHEYENNE — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has relaunched the Wyoming Wildlife, Worth Watching program. Established in 1987, the initiative's goal was to connect residents and visitors with the state’s iconic wildlife and wild landscapes.

The program aims to provide citizens and tourists with opportunities to view, learn and engage in wildlife, habitat and conservation experiences. It reminds hunters, anglers, birders, photographers and outdoor enthusiasts that we all share a common responsibility in conserving Wyoming’s wildlife.

“Wildlife brings Wyoming together. It is our shared identity, our shared investment and the heartbeat of the wild places that make this state our home,” said Game and Fish Interim Director Eric Wiltanger. “Relaunching this program allows us to celebrate our deep connection and invite everyone to become active champions for our natural heritage.”

Historically, the program achieved recognition through initiatives such as the Collectible Conservation Stamp Art Show, education guidebooks, habitat viewing sites and wooden signage marking wildlife viewing stations across the state.

Under the refreshed program, Game and Fish will expand these materials by creating educational, short-form videos, interactive online resources and community engagement events focused on wildlife viewing and habitat stewardship.

Supporting Wyoming Wildlife Worth Watching is simple. Pick up a collectible conservation stamp, order a wildlife conservation license plate, donate directly to the WYldlife Fund or grab some official gear.
