Game and Fish Commission to meet in Lander Sept. 9-10

CHEYENNE — The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission will hold its next meeting on Sept. 9-10 in Lander. The meeting will address several key topics, including proposed changes to Chapter 52 (Take of Nongame Wildlife) and Chapter 71 (Commercially Guided Fishing Boats) regulations.

The public comment period for these proposed changes is now closed, but all comments will be presented to the Commission for its review. There also will  be a period for public comment and discussion during the meeting.

The 2025 Landowners of the Year will also  be recognized during an award banquet in Lander in conjunction with the Commission meeting. This year's recipients are Turtle Rock Ranch, NL Land and Livestock Inc., JBar 9 Ranch Managers and Falxa Ranch, who were recognized for their outstanding wildlife management practices and providing public access to hunters and anglers.

All Commission meetings are open to the public for participation in-person and often via Zoom video conferencing. The full agenda and public participation information, as well as the September Commissioner Notebook, will be available on the Wyoming Game and Fish website.
