CHEYENNE—The public is invited to the 43rd annual Wyoming Game and Fish Conservation Stamp Art Show at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 24. This educational event will be held virtually and broadcast live online on the Game and Fish YouTube channel.
The featured species for the 2027 contest is the Arctic grayling. The grayling is a distinctive native fish, recognizable by its large, sail-like dorsal fin.
“We’re excited to host the 2027 Wyoming Conservation Stamp Art Competition, and showcase the incredible entries we received this year,” said Chris Martin, Game and Fish visual communications supervisor and coordinator of this year’s contest. “There are a lot of great entries, and we also will be taking votes for the People’s Choice Award, so be sure to tune in and cast your vote for your favorite piece of artwork.”
This year’s contest is sponsored by the WYldlife Fund.
Adult contest winners: The winning image will be featured on the 2027 collectible conservation stamp. The top five receive a monetary award, including $3,500 for the winner. Game and Fish will offer the winning stamps as a collectible item, which can be purchased in-person at the Cheyenne gift shop or online through the Game and Fish Store.
Youth contest winners: The top three from each grade level will receive a monetary award of $50-$150.
Winning and honorable mention entries for both contests will be displayed at the Game and Fish’s Cheyenne Headquarters through May 17.
