CODY - The Cody Region of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department welcomes Ty Masco as the new Lovell game warden. Masco replaces Colten Galambas, who transferred to the Jackson Region.

Masco joins the Cody Region after serving as the game warden in Wheatland. Prior to becoming a game warden, he gained experience with Game and Fish as a statewide habitat and access technician and a wildlife technician in the Casper Region. Masco holds a bachelor's degree in wildlife management from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Masco had the opportunity to become familiar with the area during his time as a habitat and access technician, working on projects at Tillett Springs Fish Rearing Station and Yellowtail Wildlife Habitat Management Area.

"I am excited to have been selected to fill this position and serve as the game warden in this community,” Masco said. "I like the wide variety of activities I get to participate in for my job as a warden. I get to spend time doing biology work, as well as enforcing Game and Fish regulations and making contacts with sportspersons and other members of the public.”

Masco began his duties in the Lovell district in November. The district covers Lovell and the surrounding areas, Bighorn Lake and Yellowtail WHMA.

Masco is enthusiastic about exploring the Big Horn Basin and enjoys spending time outdoors. He is often accompanied by his dog, Moose, who he describes as a great ride-along companion.
