CASPER – The Community Recreation Foundation and the Wyoming Game and Fish Department will host Kids' Fishing Day, on Saturday, June 1 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Yesness Pond, located at 4100 SW Wyoming Boulevard.
Yesness Pond will be stocked with more than 1,500 catchable-sized trout. A half-day of fishing and a goodie bag will be provided to each angler. There will be prizes for the first 100 fisher kids who catch a fish. An adult should accompany all children. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m.
Kids' Fishing Day is sponsored by the Community Recreation Foundation and the Wyoming Game and Fish Department in conjunction with several charitable organizations in Casper to make this year’s Kids' Fishing Day extra special:

Attendees can use over 300 spincasting fishing poles donated by North Platte Walleyes Unlimited Club and learn flycasting from Trout Unlimited during on-site lessons. Pepsi is supplying a hydration station and R&R Rest Stops will set up portable facilities for the guests. Goodie bags are sponsored by Visit Casper, Wagner’s Outdoor Outfitters, Mills Police Department, and Casper Recreation Division.
A special thank you to Wyld Gear, Target, Walmart, and Peden’s Shirt Shop for providing giveaways for the first 100 fisher kids who catch a fish. The Curly Wolf Den’s finely shaved ice offers free treats for the 100 guests and will sell additional desserts during the event.
Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. A sunscreen station provided by the Natrona County Health Department and first aid supplies will be on-site. Parking spaces are limited.
