Game and Fish Staff educate the public on AIS Inspection in Laramie

Become a Certified AIS Watercraft Inspector

LARAMIE—Registration is open for Wyoming’s southeastern Watercraft Inspection Training, which will take place May 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Laramie Regional Game and Fish Office. This free class provides certification for individuals to inspect watercraft, including their own, and support efforts to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species. Anyone interested is encouraged to apply. However, registration is limited to 20 students.

During the one-day course, participants will receive classroom instruction, a Q&A session, and hands-on exercises. They will also cover topics like aquatic biology, the impacts of invasive species, and how anglers and outdoor recreationists transport them.
