This burbot caught April 19 at Jim Bridger Pond by Wyoming Game and Fish Department biologists in the Green River Region swallowed a rainbow trout more than half its size! The only way to reduce impacts to sport fish from burbot is angler harvest and targeted netting operations. Burbot were illegally introduced in the Green River drainage around 2003 and are here to stay.
