Game and Fish proposes updates to Bates Hole/Hat Six Mule Deer Herd Unit seasonal range map

Casper – The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is proposing updates to the seasonal range map for the Bates Hole/Hat Six Mule Deer Herd Unit.  The proposed update includes the designation of new crucial winter yearlong range in two areas and a shift from crucial winter yearlong to yearlong range in other areas.  All proposed revisions were based on satellite collar data obtained from adult female mule deer during a recent seasonal habitat selection study and an intensive aerial sightability survey conducted in February of 2019.  Comments will be accepted online (https://wgfd.wyo.gov/seasonalrange) until September 1 at midnight (mountain daylight time).

Information about the proposal, including the map with proposed revisions, is available online (https://wgfd.wyo.gov/seasonalrange).
