The Salt River - Burton's Lower Public Access Area (PAA) is located on an easement on the Salt River, 5.5 miles north of Afton, Wyoming. The PAA is accessed from County Rd 136 via Hwy 89, this PAA has a single parking area. This PAA provides parking for fishing access only, no camping or fires. Fishing for Snake River Cutthroat, Brown, Rainbow Trout, and Mountain Whitefish is excellent on the Salt River. The Salt River - Burton's Lower does not have a boat launch. In the riparian areas along the river, moose, White-tailed deer, and Mule deer are common. The access road and parking area are not plowed during the winter season.
