Past Fiscal Division Employee of the Year retires
Candiracci started her Game and Fish career as the subscription clerk for the Wyoming Wildlife magazine. She was promoted to be a license agent at the front desk in Cheyenne in November 1995. She also received Fiscal Division promotions in May 1998 and August 2003 before her latest promotion to senior accountant handling the department’s service contracts, property damage and surplus property.
“Dixie has been an exemplary employee for Game and Fish,” said Jon Schmirler, Game and Fish purchasing supervisor. “She applied her energy and efficiency to the multitude of job duties she was assigned. Dixie addressed the needs of both internal and external customers equally well. Her understanding of various processes allowed her to help others navigate some difficult waters. She will definitely be missed.”
In her career, Candiracci received two prestigious department awards: Fiscal Division Employee of the Year in 2008 and Cheyenne Peer Recognition in 2012.
She and her husband, Pete, will continue to reside in Cheyenne and hope to do more traveling, camping and fishing.
