Join the Game and Fish challenge to fish more in 2018

The new year inspires new goals, so why not make one to fish more in 2018? The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is challenging new and seasoned anglers to set a resolution to learn to fish or to fish more in 2018.

“Fishing is a fun and healthy way to reconnect year-round with nature, family and friends,” said Kathryn Boswell, Game and Fish hunter and angler participation coordinator. “Join us, and set a goal to learn to fish or to go fishing more than you did last year.”

For motivation, how-to tips, challenges and fishing events, sign up for the Monthly Fishing Update e-mail newsletter. Game and Fish is also encouraging anglers to share their progress with their resolutions on social media with #fish2018.

“Share photos with us of your family and friends fishing, your favorite waters, big and small catches, tangled lines and your dinner that night,” Boswell said.

Annual and daily licenses for 2018 for residents and non-residents are available for purchase now at Wyoming Game and Fish Department offices and anywhere that sells licenses. Wyoming residents under 14 can fish for free without a license. For a full list of rules and prices, see the 2018 Fishing Regulations.
