Game and Fish: Your personal information is safe
Some hunters and anglers in Wyoming may have received letters about recent data breaches in sportsperson information in Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department and its customers were not affected by this data breach.
“The breach in Idaho, Washington, and Oregon was through a third-party system that some states use for licenses. Wyoming does not use this system,” said Daniel Tolman, Game and Fish IT operations supervisor.
In Wyoming, sportspersons ID numbers, credit card information, and social security numbers are not public information and Game and Fish takes measures to protect personal information from being compromised.
