Game and Fish Super Tag raffle becomes a lot more super
With a Wyoming Super Tag license, winners experience one of the few ultimate hunting adventures in the West. But, in addition to the hunt of a lifetime, the 2017 Super Tag raffle has become a lot more super; the Wyoming Game and Fish Department is partnering with several companies to offer the “Ultimate Hunting Gear Package.”
For every five Super Tag raffle tickets (any species or combination of species), or every two Super Tag Trifecta tickets an individual purchases, his or her name is entered into a raffle for a complete hunting gear package donated by KUIU, Swarovski, Weatherby, and Leupold. “The gear assembled is for the most hardcore hunter for the most hardcore hunts,” said Renny MacKay, communications director for Game and Fish.
One winner will receive a full clothing package from KUIU Ultra Light Hunting Gear that also includes KUIU’s Mountain Star two-person tent, 15 degree sleeping bag, and ICON Pro 5200 backpack; EL 10x50 binoculars and ATX/STX 25-60x65 spotting scope from Swarovski Optik; a Weatherby Mark V Arroyo RC 6.5-300 WBY rifle: and a Leupold VX-6 HD 3-18x44mm rifle scope, RX-1200i rangefinder, and scope mounting system. Wyoming’s Super Tag hunting license raffle was created by Governor Matt Mead and the Wyoming Legislature in 2013. The Super Tag raffle includes nine drawings, one drawing for each of the following species: bighorn sheep, mountain goat, Shiras moose, elk, wild bison, deer, antelope, mountain lion, and black bear. For the Super Tag Trifecta there is just one drawing, and the winner gets to choose any three licenses from those offered.
