From the south boundary line of section 16 to the north boundary line of section 21.
The Salt River instream flow segment is located on the state school section about 4 miles south of Alpine and about 2 miles upstream from Palisades Reservoir. Take highway 89 south from Alpine and look for the Game and Fish sign indicating public access. There are plenty of other access points along the Salt, but this 2.6 mile long segment is the only one for which an instream flow water right has been filed.
